disabled veteran seeking grants

May I ask, are you representing yourself in this case or are you being represented by a service organization like the DAV, VFW, etc?

I know what you mean. You are SO right. I am a retired Marine with a service connected disability of 60%. I can not work. I applied to the VA for increased compensation. The VA not only denied my claim but in the letter I received they threatened to lower what I already have. The VA could care less. They are just out of touch with what is real. I have no faith in the VA at all.

Have you checked with your local Small Business Administration office or some of the local service groups like DAV, VFW who may can direct you?

Where do you live? Have you tried you County Veterans Service office. I know that Jersey and California have them. I believe that just about every county has a VSO (Veterans Service Office) to help out.

I am in a similar boat. I am arecent disabled veretan out of the Marine Corps. As you can see, no one really wants to help us once we are not of use. I would like to get a grant to start a business, as well as finish school. If you get any responses, please let me know..
